Hi! I’m Linda. I am a Dutch girl and I’ve lived in Spain since the summer of 2014. To be more specific I have lived in the province of Barcelona for more than two years now and, besides that, in the second semester of 2013 I did an exchange programme at the university of San Sebastián.
I can hear you thinking “Why would a Dutch girl move to Spain?”. Well, the answer is simple and cliché: love. In 2011 I met this pretty handsome Spaniard on holiday and we kept in contact through social media for about two years and finally met again in the Basque Country. After meeting a couple of times we decided we liked each other a lot and started a long distance relationship for about eight months. In June of 2014 I finished my bachelor’s degree and since we were pretty sick of seeing each other only once a month or less I made the decision to go and live with him close to Barcelona.
Since then I have worked and completed a master’s degree in tourism and now I am ready for whatever new challenge is to come.
On this little blog of mine I would like to share stories about my personal experiences, travels around the country or the world, and also about ordinary, daily life in España. What to expect and what to do when you make the decision to move to this great country?
Thank you for reading!
